Infoshop News FAQ

version 2.1 / updated: June 25, 2007

Do you moderate replies to news articles?

Yes, we moderate some of the responses, mainly ones that are off-topic or engage in ad homenim attacks against other users.

Why didn't you approve my contributed news story?

Probably because it was off topic, poorly written, or generally not suited to this newswire. We also are very selective about events that are posted. If the event is of interest to people outside of your area, we might post it. Otherwise, we suggest trying Protest.net.

How many news articles do you post a day?

Around 15-22. Less on weekends, more if it is a hot news days.

Why don't you post everything from A-Infos?

We've posted hundreds of articles from A-infos over the last 5 years. We can't post everything because we lack the resources to do so. Also, some of the content on A-Infos can't be posted because it announces an event of local interest or because it has too many technical glitches. The most frequent reasons an A-Infos post isn't reposted here is because characters have been replaced with odd codes or because the article is poorly organized and written.

What is your moderation policy for comments posted after stories?

Our current moderation policy is listed here.
