\"Kerre, a decorated war hero who served during the French occupation of Vietnam in the 1950s, is the likely candidate from the Socialist party to oppose Chirac in France\'s November elections... If elected president, Kerre\'s plan to bring peace and democracy to the United States is to share authority in America with \'Old Europe.\'\"

The day Commander Kerry becomes a Socialist or wants \"peace and democracy\" I\'ll shoot myself in the foot!

the 2 main parties in french politics are chirac\'s center party, and the socialist party. They used the word socialists to refer to the democrats, because call them \"democrats\" would be hookey.

Also this article is critical of kerre
\"Kerre initially supported Chirac

LOL very funny! harsh critic of GWB policies i d say...
anyway nothing to laugh about in real life. Iraq is a real concern, Bush made a mess and now everyone pays the bill. :/
btw the cliche about the marquis de sade was too much.. there s no vice president in france, there s a president, a prime minister, and a senatorial president, who is what u d call a vice president....

I hope you know that Chirac is a conservative rightist and his party is the consrvative RPR Rally for the Republic party is a conservative rightist party not a centrist party

I have mixed fellings about the french these days on one hand they opsed Bushes war . However on the other hand they probavly oppsed it because of thir own iol deals with iraq
on one had the french votes gave a huge portion of votes to the far-right racist National Front party ,infact they gpt more vtes than the moderate Socialist Party or SP . one the other hand hand some radical trotsyites got unselshy hight number of votesb.had the united they would have gotten more than the SP had they united with the greens they would have gotten more than the NF.

but thats electorial politcs for you.

they have unionised a McDnalds in Paris that
would probably not hsppen in the US

just my two cents

Chirac has been working to soften his image though. I remember way back when he loaded his cabinet with moderates because all the red parties were fuming over the run off candidates.

If elected president, Kerre\'s plan to bring peace and democracy to the United States is to share authority in America with \"Old Europe.\"

Chew on that for a minute... now you see this person\'s opinion on Kerry.
