Check out the LA an d Chicago IMCs, the May Day Movement is congealing rapidly. Every church group, many large labor unions, contigents of every ethnic group (Arabs, Africans, Polish, Irish, Asian and Latinos), as well as the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition are all joining the effort. Cargill and other large Midwestern meat packing plants are closing down for the day. It's appropriate and amazing that 120 years after the birth of the holiday, that in the same city it has all come full circle and the similarities of the struggles are striking. May 1st 2006 will be talked about for years to come.
