Palestine-Israel: The joint struggle worries the Israeli ruling elite

Middle EastThe involved with the Bedouin struggle pay for it... The unprecedented prolonged pre trial detention of the involved with the Hura demo against transfer of the Bedouins - including a Jew may be in revenge of the dropping of the Praver transfer law, or a sign of an entirely new mode of suppression of dissent of the left. The state forces pressures on the Palestinians involved in the joint struggle escalate. The new front of conflicts of state with the African refugees escalate. The failor of state to comply with the passed law against building concentration camps for refugees ignited a resistanc of the refugees culminated in few thousand demo on Saturday late evening in commercial part of Tel Aviv to which few hudred Israeli activists joined. The "electricity in the air" seemed to promise that the 50 thousand refugees are not going to take it passively any more. Israel may be forced to comply with the international refugees conventions.

Refugees Freedom march

150 African asylum seekers jailed in Israeli concentration camp who were transfered from a closed camp to a semi open one started a march from the south to the Jerusalem capital government compound on the 15.12.2013 supported for logistics by Israeli activists. After 48 hours they arrived there and demonstrated... and got brutally arrested and returned to the closed concentration camp.

Nabi Saleh

Palestinian, Israeli and international solidarity activists marched today in the village of Nabi Saleh in honor of the village's martyrs Mustafa and Rushdi Tamimi, who were shot and killed by the Israeli military in 2011 and 2012 respectively. The marchers first passed by the homes of the martyrs' families, presenting them with commemorative plaques. From there, protesters continued towards the checkpoint, as the IOF fired barrages of tear gas canisters, rubber bullets and stun grenades in an attempt to disperse them. No major injuries reported.

Qaddum

On Friday, December 20 at 3:30am the army raided the village, shot tear gas, used stun grenades, arrested two Palestinians, Ghaleb Hilmi Shetwi 22 years old and Mohammad Rajab 32 years old and also raided the house of Murad Eshtewi , age 43 a spokesperson in the Palestinian authority and the head of the Popular Struggle Coordination Committee.
After a few hours the two were released. Then at 10 AM, about two hours before the demonstration was due to start, another group of soldiers came for Murad Eshtewi. They arrested him brutally spraying his eyes with pepper spray from very close quarters though he was not showing any resistance to the arrest and throwing stun grenades around him. One was thrown at his leg.

Palestine-Israel: The joint struggle worries the Israeli ruling elite

I'm tired of hearing about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Seven million people have died from the war in Congo since 1998. The Congo War is the biggest, deadliest war since World War 2 but I hear nothing about it from mainstream media or from left-wing media. The Congo War death toll is  higher than the Holocaust death toll. The death toll from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict since 1998 is less than 30,000. Every time an Israeli airstrike kills ten Palestinians it's all over the news but when a battle in Congo kills thousands it's not on the news. The Congo War is being fought with more than just machetes. African militaries in Congo are killing people with machine guns, missiles, fighter jets, helicopters and tanks. Any group or movement that calls itself anti-war should focus on ending the Congo War first.
