Occupy Wall Street Protests Head Into Third Week, Spread to More Cities
Infoshop News (October 16, 2011) -- The Occupy Wall Street protests in New York City continue to grow after three weeks. They've braved bad weather and police brutality.
The Occupy movement has spread to other cities, including Chicago, Miami, Kansas City and Denver. The protests are now getting widespread media coverage.

- Chapel Hill: The occupation began downtown at Peace and Justice Plaza Saturday at 10:30 am. Tonight was its first night, with several dozen people camping out in the absolute center of town. Our "tactical points of unity" are based on the Pittsburgh Principles (a la the 2009 G20). We live in a small town with a deeply rooted anarchist presence.
- Chicago: 175 arrested on Saturday. We are at LaSalle / Jackson 24/7, All Day All Night.
- Columbia, Missouri:
- Denver: Occupy Denver medical relief needs the following: plastic tubs, lightweight shelving or drawers, milk crates, plastic squeezable bike water bottles, ziploc bags, emergen-C, herbs/tincture that are clearly labeled, folding chairs and a cot. Please spread the word. These supplies help more than the demos They support many folks in Denver with limited access to health care.

- Minneapolis: "Sheriff’s deputies tore down makeshift tents at a county government plaza but made no arrests, Minnesota Public Radio reported. Though the protesters are allowed to stay on the plaza all night, tents are banned."

- New York City: Around 20,000 fill Times Square on Saturday. 92 arrested.
