This undated photo made at a unknown location shows 15-year-old Alexandros Grigoropoulos. Some of the worst riots Greece has seen in years began within hours of the fatal shooting of Alexandros Grigoropoulos on Saturday night in the central Athens district of Exarchia. The circumstances surrounding the shooting of the teenager Grigoropoulos are still unclear. Two policemen claimed they had come under attack by a group of about 30 youths, and that three warning shots and a stun grenade were fired when they sought out the group a few minutes later. But witnesses have disputed the officers' accounts, telling Greek media that the police intended to shoot the youths. One officer has been charged with murder and the other as an accomplice. Comrades,
The first two videos posted here are not from the ongoing protests. They were from actions taken some time ago.
In solidarity.

Has anyone from DC considered taking action at the Greek embassy in the US in solidarity?

from outside of greece, the important question now is whether this rage will be 'generalized'; already, the corporate international media looks for explanations and speaks of the growing gap between the rich and poor in greece and the toll of the global economic crisis; are we witnessing a social uprising sparked by the tragic police murder of a 16 year old? will these events be contained in greece?

Dear comrade: I do not think that you posed the immediate question. My view is that the immediate question is will the protests be generalized within Greece itself. Presently, the protests are confined among the young, college students, the anarcho-communist and anarchist movements, and other radicalized sections of our society. There is a general strike being called for Wed. We shall see.
