Introducing the SDS Anarchists & Anti-Authoritarian Collective! (SDS-AAC)

Recently, several anarchists and anti-authoritarians throughout the country have come together to form the SDS-AAC, an anarchists and anti-authoritarian collective/contingent within SDS as a whole. This network, now in its infancy (consisting primarily of a mailing list/discussion board), emerges in part from recent discussions revolving around the infiltration and co-optation of SDS by the authoritarian Left.

Calling All Anarchists & Anti-Authoritarians in SDS!

Recently, several anarchists and anti-authoritarians throughout the country have come together to form the SDS-AAC, an anarchists and anti-authoritarian collective/contingent within SDS as a whole.

This network, now in its infancy (consisting primarily of a mailing list/discussion board), emerges in part from recent discussions revolving around the infiltration and co-optation of SDS by the authoritarian Left. Though SDS as a whole has been and remains open to working with the authoritarian Left, we feel that it is important for anti-authoritarians to not only voice their opposition to this and take action against it, but to also provide a well-reasoned articulation of our reasons for rejecting the authoritarian Left.

The initial aim of the SDS-AAC, aside from opposing the dominance of the authoritarian Left within SDS, is to bring together anarchists and anti-authoritarians within SDS from around the country, facilitate discussion regarding the role of anarchists within SDS, and work towards a more inclusive, open, decentralized, horizontally-structured, bottom-up SDS. Other than these most general terms, its future direction is rather open-ended and in your hands!
