This institution plays a significant role in creating the neoliberal policies that destroy the lives, livelihoods, and landbases of people throughout Latin America. Last year, they hosted talks for the Andean Free Trade Agreement (AFTA), a plan that would further expand the devastation of NAFTA to South America. It is capitalist institutions such as this one who are ultimately responsible for the poverty and repressionthat the people of Oaxaca struggle against.

This action took place alongside the Zapatista's general strike in order to let the decision-makers who write these policies known that even though the frontlines are across the border in Oaxaca, they will not be safe in their comfy offices -- we will find them and hit them in the only place they understand -- in their pocketbooks.

Until everyone is free of economic exploitation and government control, we must resist in the belly of the beast.

!Viva Oaxaca!
!Viva las Zapatistas!
!Viva la resistencia!

Don't forget your friends at Kennecott Exploration...

"Rio Tinto's subsidiary Kennecott has a history of illegal uranium extraction in Oaxaca, was fined and had its license canceled yet still operates in Oaxaca."

"Kennecott was fined for illegally mining uranium in the Loxicha region in southern Mexico's Oaxaca state. Its license was canceled (in 2001)... Kennecott carried out surface exploration and drilling on three concessions in Oaxaca, named Elvira I, II and III until October 1999. (unom
